How the days run
Dive, review, learn, repeat
Mornings begin with a surf launch from Shelly Beach harbour and a short run out to the Banks. We alternate between baited shark dives, using a scent trail only with no feeding and no touching, and reef dives across the pinnacles where every encounter is completely natural.
Afternoons are for the work that makes the difference. We download, review and critique the morning’s images together, cover a photography or science session, and plan what to try tomorrow. There are two add-ons for anyone who wants to keep going: an extra day diving Aliwal Shoal, or a land-based safari in iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
The ocean decides the schedule, not us. Conditions at the Banks change quickly, so we watch the wind, swell and current daily and dive when it is right.
